Institutional licenses: frequently asked questions
If your institution has a campus-wide Proofig AI license, you can sign in with your institutional login (single sign-on) and use Proofig AI without buying a license of your own. Below are answers to common questions about campus-wide licenses and signing in.
How do I sign in to Proofig AI with my institution?
Go to app.proofig.com in Google Chrome, check that Rest of the world is selected next to Select Region at the top, click your institution's button under Institutional Sign in, and sign in on your institution's page with your usual username and password. Some buttons use short names, such as Pitt or SBP Discovery; the list below shows them. The first time, Proofig AI creates the account automatically from the institutional email and name.

Research institutes with a campus-wide license
My institution isn't on the list. Can I still use Proofig AI?
Yes. The list covers campus-wide licenses only, and many researchers use Proofig AI through a department, lab or individual license. Ask your research-integrity office or library whether your department or lab has one, or email us at contact@proofig.com and we will check.
What is single sign-on?
Single sign-on lets researchers use one institutional login for the tools their institution provides. The institution controls who has access, and researchers do not manage another password.
What can I do once I'm signed in?
Upload a manuscript, and Proofig AI checks its images for duplication and reuse, reuse from published papers, alterations such as regions copied within an image (cloning) and pieced-together panels (splicing), and AI-generated images. You review each flag and decide what goes into your report. Getting started with Proofig AI
